Stephen’s Backpacks returns for 10th year

It’s another sign that a new school year is just around the corner.
The kickoff of the Annual Stephen’s Backpack Campaign runs Friday evening.
The goal is to fill backpacks with school supplies for needy children across the province, including those in Fort McMurray this year following the devastating wildfire.
The initiative was launched 10 years ago when a 6 year old Airdrie child by the name of Stephen McPhee asked his mommy how he could help.
