There have been a lot of unhappy people on Facebook these days because of a movie ticket scam.
A link has been making the rounds that promises five free Cineplex movie passes, but no one actually gets the tickets.
Sarah Van Lange with Cineplex said the offer isn’t from the company.
“There has been a post that’s been circulating on Facebook and we’ve been doing everything we can to set the record straight but it’s been circulating, asking people to complete a survey to receive free Ciniplex movie tickets,” Van Lange said. “As you know, this is not an offer that was done by done us and we’re currently investigating the scam.”
Van Lange also said they’re asking Facebook users to delete the post from their walls and not share the post.
“There’s been a lot of disappointed people and we’re disappointed that we have guests that are disappointed.”
