Calgary police say they have caught their man in a strange robbery from early Monday morning.
The newly opened Royale Brasserie restaurant had two expensive Japanese maple trees taken from pots outside the eatery on 17th Avenue.
CCTV footage, widely spread on social media, showed a man walking his dog around 3:00 a.m and remove the two trees worth $700 each.
Police say a tip from the public lead them to an address in the 1100 block of 17 Ave SW.
They found the trees and arrested one man.
Charges are pending.
The trees have been returned to the restaurant.
