AARCS hosting Meow Luau adoption event

If you’ve been thinking about getting a cat or kitten you can head to AARCS on Saturday.
The Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society is hosting the Meow Luau adoption event with a Hawaiian theme.
Kelsey Scoular with AARCS says they’ll have reduced rates to adopt cats six months and older.
“There will be sixty-plus cats coming through throughout the day that’ll be available for adoption. We do have Killarney Cat Hospital that will be there with us and we will have a Kitten Cuddle Corner by donation as well,” says Scoular.
With the economic downturn, AARCS, the Calgary Humane Society and other shelters have been dealing with a big increase in animals being surrender and, to make it worse, a decrease in the number of people adopting.
The Meow Luau goes from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the AARCS Safe Haven location at BAY F, 3851 21 Street NE, Calgary.
