Airdrie toddler injured after fall from second storey window

A toddler from Airdrie is in hospital after falling from a second storey window.

EMS were called to the home around 4:30 Saturday afternoon, where they found the injured child and their parent on the front lawn.

The information that emergency crews were able to gather, told them that the child fell through the window screen from the second floor and landed on the concrete about 5-meters below.

The toddler was taken by ambulance to the Children’s Hospital in Calgary, where they remain in stable, non-life threatening condition.

EMS would like to remind parents to keep any furniture away from windows, and to consider installing safety devices which limit how much the window can open.
