The Lougheed House is giving people a glimpse of what high society was like 100 years ago.
The building’s drawing room has been recreated to how it was in 1925.
Guest Curator Sandra Weizman says the famous quarters were the meeting place for prime ministers, royalty and other distinguished guests.
“The Duke and Duchess of Connaught, and their daughter, Princess Patricia were guests in the home, and also Senator Lougheed owned the Grand Theatre, so there were many performers, actors, musicians and so on,” Weizman said.
Most of the room’s 80 items are original to the Lougheed House, while others are on loan from various collections.
The exhibit is open to the public until September 11.
