No date set yet on mayoral “wrestle-off”

No word yet if Mayors Jim Watson and Naheed Nenshi will be taking up Erica Wiebe on her idea of a “wrestle-off.”
Wiebe first suggested it over Twitter after seeing the two civic leaders argue on Twitter over whether Wiebe is from Ottawa or if she is in fact a Calgarian.
The 28 year old gold medalist returned home to Calgary Friday night and had a good laugh over the suggestion.
“I was talking to Mayor Watson yesterday about that and he’s not going to do it unless Mayor Nenshi wears a “Borat” singlet or something like that so no one wants to see that,” she laughed. “I’ll have to talk to Mayor Nenshi and see what he thinks about it.”
She says she’s honoured to be born in Ottawa and living in Calgary, two big places that share an even bigger place in her heart.
Wiebe moved to Calgary nine years ago to pursue and education and train at the University of Calgary.
