Charges laid in collision that killed four-year-old

Charges have been laid after a four-year-old was fatally hit in a Bowness intersection in May of this year.

The young girl was walking along 79th Street and 47th Avenue N.W. with her family and dog, when she was struck by a truck that stopped and then slowly proceeded through the intersection at the same time the child ran into the path of the vehicle.

She suffered fatal head injuries as a result.

38-year-old Tanis Lambert is facing charges of careless driving and the operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
