Another long day ahead at council debating secondary suites

It’s likely to be another long day at council thanks to secondary suites.
More than 50 applications will be heard, and debated one by one.
It has councillors flustered, including Ward 12’s Shane Keating, who says he’s given up trying to pass motions to streamline the process.
“I’ve tried it three times and each time it’s failed on an 8-7 vote and it’s failed from both sides. Some of the pro sides have voted against it because they didn’t like one thing and some of the con sides have voted against it because they didn’t like anything,” Keating told CityNews.
Keating, however, disagrees with Diane Colley-Urquhart, who believes the provincial government should legislate suites across the board.
