The Calgary Fire Department will add another member to their list of fallen Tuesday.
A ceremony is being held to recognize the sacrifices of firefighters who have died in the line of duty or succumbed to an illness related to their service.
Starting at 11 a.m., the CFD Honour Guard will lead Calgary Firefighters and the Calgary Fire Department Pipes and Drums Band in a march down 8 Avenue from the Mewata Armoury to City Hall.
The ceremony begins at noon at the Police Officers and Firefighters Tribute Plaza on Macleod Trail.
All fire stations and facilities will lower their flags to half-mast until sunset.
