Calgary mulling over bid for 2026 Olympics

Work on a possible bid for the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games is taking another step forward.

Monday, the members of the exploration committee will be announced.

The volunteers will examine the capital and operating costs associated with hosting the games, how much money is needed from all three levels of government, and how to maximize the use of existing facilities.

A news conference will take place at 12:15 p.m. at Calgary’s City Hall.
