Man rushed to Lethbridge hospital after bear attack

A man is recovering in Lethbridge after a grizzly bear attack Sunday near the Alberta/British Columbia border.
It happened Sunday by what was believed to have been a male grizzly bear in Akamina-Kishinena Provincial Park.
The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening; it’s believed he suffered bites to his arm.
BC Parks rangers helped transport him to Waterton Lakes National Park where the group was then met by paramedics.
Forum Lake Trail in the vicinity has since been closed.
Signage warning of a bear in the area is being posted and advisory is now up on the BC Parks’ website.
BC Parks is not commenting at this stage as to where the man is from and what, if anything, will happen to the animal.
