Calgary ushers in autumn

Say goodbye to summer, Calgary: fall officially starts at 8:21 a.m. Thursday.

660 Meteorologist Andrew Schultz, from City’s Breakfast Television, says he doesn’t expect any significant event like 2014’s Snowtember in the near term.

“It looks to be that moisture will be at normal if not below normal, so obviously in the next few weeks as you move into October, some precipitation at the normal mark or just below and as you move deeper in about the same but it will be with the snow flurries,” he said.

When it comes to temperatures, Schultz says he expects average highs and lows, or slightly warmer than average.
