A second lawsuit has been filed against Ward 7 Councillor Druh Farrell by Terrigno Investments.
In the latest application, the family that owns the company, is asking taxpayers not be on the hook for Farrell’s defence against their first lawsuit. The family is also asking that Farrell declare what she has received, so far, from the city to defend herself.
The lawsuit asks the court to disqualify her from serving on council, citing Farrell voted on matters in which she had a financial interest.
The first application was filed in May and alleged the Ward 7 councillor blocked a Terrigno Investments development proposal.
Farrell filed a defence suggesting the original lawsuit was politically motivated. She is expected to release a statement, as early as Friday.
