New video shows Straschnitzki walking after surgery

THAILAND (660 NEWS) – It’s another remarkable breakthrough for a former Humboldt Broncos player.
Airdrie’s Ryan Straschnitzki has been in Thailand after undergoing spinal surgery last month.
On Wednesday morning, Ryan’s dad Tom posted a video showing Ryan walking with the assistance of doctors and an apparatus.
The video shows therapists helping with Ryan’s knees and ankles to prevent them from buckling as he walks.
The surgery involved implanting a small device to send electrical currents to his spinal cord to stimulate nerves and move limbs.
Ryan and his father are expected to return home by mid-December.
