Green Line LRT project gets new CEO

CALGARY – There’s a new face leading the charge on the city’s Green Line LRT project.
The City of Calgary announced Wednesday morning that the Green Line Board chose Darshpreet S. Bhatti as the project’s new CEO.
A new CEO has been appointed to the #GreenLineYYC LRT project effective Aug. 16.
Darshpreet S. Bhatti brings extensive experience & expertise to help drive forward the most significant infrastructure project in Calgary’s history.

Bhatti has previous experience working with transit, coming from Metrolinx and Region of Waterloo Rapid transit teams.
He has also been involved in other major municipal projects in Ontario including the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization, City of Brampton AcceleRide Project, and the City of Windsor Detroit River Tunnel project.
He’ll be taking over the reigns on Aug. 16.
