Calgary police have laid close to two dozen charges following a months-long drug trafficking investigation in the southeast and northeast sections of the city.
Investigators say they began an operation in September and identified three people believed to be connected to a drug trafficking network that included dealers in Lethbridge.
Earlier this month, the Calgary Police Service (CPS) Guns and Gangs unit searched two homes, one on Auburn Meadows Common SE and the other on 19 Avenue NE.
Officers seized two cars, two loaded handguns, cash, and $40,000 worth of cocaine.
Three people, a 19-year-old, a 21-year-old, and a 27-year-old, are facing a combined 23 charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, carless storage of a firearm, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
