Calgary teen’s death suspicious after body found in Arbor Lake

A Calgary teen is dead and their death is being deemed suspicious after a body was found in the northwest community of Arbor Lake on Thursday.
The Calgary Police Service says officers were called to the neighbourhood of Arbour Meadows Close around 8:30 p.m. for reports a person was found hurt in a green space when responders got there the teenager was found dead.

An autopsy has identified the victim as 16-year-old, Jal Acor Jal.
“This is a shocking file as the victim is so young,” said Homicide Unit Staff Sergeant Sean Gregson. “We continue to investigate and are interested in hearing from anyone who may know of the victim’s movements and who may have been with him last night.”
Police are asking anyone who was in the area Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. to contact them about any suspicious behaviour they may have seen. They are also asking people who live in the area to check their property for anything out of the ordinary.
