Going once, twice, sold: Flames Game 7 Red Lot tickets sell out within minutes

Less than a minute after tickets went online for Calgary’s Game 7 at the Red Lot, they sold out.

The Flames announced Saturday night the event would still be free but tickets were needed due to high demand.

The team said the decision was made to reduce the queue wait times and as a safety precaution for fans in attendance.

A maximum of two tickets were available per person due to the strict capacity limit.

Capacity at the lot outside the Saddledome was capped at 5,000. Those without tickets will not be allowed on site.

The Red Lot viewing party will open two hours prior to the puck drop for the game.

The Flames take on the Dallas Stars Sunday in Game 7 of the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, with a spot in the second round on the line.

For those who were unable to secure a pair of tickets for Sunday’s game, some have turned to buying scalped tickets. One set was selling for $350 earlier in the day.
