Chick-fil-A returns to Calgary, debuts in Edmonton this year

By CityNews Staff

Albertans will be able to sink their teeth into Chick-fil-A chicken later this year.

Three new restaurants will open up in the province this year, with plans to add 20 in Alberta by 2030.

Construction will start this month for a new Chick-fil-A at West Edmonton Mall, which is set to open by late summer 2024.

Locations on Calgary’s Macleod Trail in Calgary and South Edmonton Common will start their construction later in the spring.

This comes a few years after the location at YYC International Airport closed its doors.

The fast food chain will hire around 80-120 employees at each new location.
