RCMP charge 35-year-old Alberta woman with child luring

A 35-year-old woman has been charged with child luring after Wainwright RCMP responded to a concerning report involving a youth on Saturday.
The incident came to light around 2 p.m. when a family member alerted authorities that the youth had been communicating with an unknown female on a messaging app.
This individual was allegedly attempting to lure the youth and his friends to her hotel room.
Following an investigation, Wainwright RCMP arrested Janelle Maisie Arnold, a resident of Bonnyville, Alta. She has been charged with multiple offenses, including invitation to sexual touching, child luring, and failure to comply with a release order.
She is scheduled to appear in court on November 7, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wainwright.
