Crews battling large house fire in Airdrie

Mounties and fire crews responded to a large house fire in Airdrie on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the Bayside community in southwest Airdrie before 1 p.m. for reports of a fire.
A caller to the 660 NewsRadio newsroom says smoke could be seen from a distance and crews were asking onlookers to leave the area.
“They’re trying to stop it from connecting on to two other houses right now,” says caller Harry.
There is no word on any injuries.
RCMP say the intersection of Bayside Boulevard and Baywater Way is currently closed to traffic.
