Some Calgarians are expressing concern after a video that appears to show people firing pellet guns in a public space.
The video posted to Reddit on Monday shows two people holding and pointing pellet guns at an unknown target accompanied by the sound of the guns being fired.
One visitor who was at the park Sunday night tells CityNews she saw people shooting guns.
“I just saw them doing the shooting and I thought it was a game,” she said. “I wasn’t too sure to be honest.”
She says she started to feel uncomfortable and took her dog and started moving away from the people.
“It was a little bit crazy,” she says, adding she doesn’t think the pair saw her.

Several Calgarians at the park on Tuesday said the idea of people shooting guns at the park makes them not only worried for their own safety, but for their animals.
“Animals both tame and domesticated are supposed to be having a good time,” says one resident. “Don’t interfere with a dog, connect with them in a friendly way. A pellet gun is not a friendly way.”
In a statement, Calgary Police Service (CPS) say they were called to Nose Hill Park around 5:50 p.m. Sunday for reports of two people discharging weapons. Officers and HAWCS responded, but they weren’t able to find anyone matching the description.
CPS says offenders in these situations could face potential bylaw fines, as well as potential criminal code charges.
Anyone with information about the incident is being urged to contact police.
