Calgary police investigate shooting outside NE casino

One person was taken to hospital following a shooting that took place in the city's NE early Sunday morning.

One person was taken to hospital after being shot in a parking lot outside a northeast Calgary casino early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the area outside Ace Casino on Aero Crescent NE around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

The victim was last reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators say the offenders left the area before officers arrived.

No arrests have been made, but police believe the shooting was targeted and there is no risk to the public.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage of the area at the time of the shooting is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or submitting a tip anonymously to CrimeStoppers.
