Police seek arson suspect in SW Calgary garage fire

Calgary police are searching for suspects in connection to an arson incident in the city's southwest earlier this month.

Police are asking for help to identify a man believed to be involved in an arson in southwest Calgary.

Investigators say the fire was set around 3 a.m. on April 1, at a home on Bridlewood Avenue SW in the community of Bridlewood.

According to the Calgary police, two people entered the backyard, deliberately ignited the detached garage in the back and then attempted to set the house on fire before fleeing in a waiting vehicle.

Investigators have since exhausted all leads and are now releasing a suspect description and photos in hopes someone recognizes him.

Police describe the suspect as a man about 50 years old, roughly 5’10” tall with a medium build, short grey hair and a tattoo on the left side of his neck. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey hoodie over a blue T‑shirt, dark pants and white sneakers.
