Two-vehicle crash hospitalizes 1 in Calgary’s SE Seton

One person was sent to hospital following a Wednesday morning crash in Calgary’s SE community of Seton.

One person is in hospital after a two-vehicle crash in the city’s southeast Seton area on Wednesday, Calgary police said.

It happened at the intersection of Seton Drive and 52 Street just before 8 a.m. Fire crews and police arrived at around 7:50 a.m.

Calgary Fire Department communications officer Alex Kwan says a vehicle and an SUV, with four people in one and two in the other, collided.

A woman was trapped on the passenger side of the vehicle, and fire crews had to extricate her with their available tools.

“Our crews removed the roof to have better patient access to safely remove that patient, and then transferred patient care to Emergency Health Services Alberta,” he said.

She has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
