Several people are injured after a collision with a semi-truck knocked over a Calgary Transit bus in the city’s southeast Tuesday.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene on Peigan Trail and 26 Street SE at around 7:20 a.m. on reports of a two-vehicle collision between a gravel semi-truck and a Calgary Transit bus.

A post on Reddit shows the bus on its side with a semi-truck nearby.

Calgary Fire Department spokesperson Alex Kwan says when emergency crews arrived, some Good Samaritans stopped to help free the passengers.

“I don’t have the number of total people on the bus, but up to six people were assessed, and no extrication was required,” he said.

EMS spokesperson Stuart Brideaux tells 660 NewsRadio three people have been taken to hospital in stable, non-life-threatening condition.

Roads in the area have since reopened.
