Calgary police: No criminal offence following Falconridge incident

A person accused of firing rounds in a home in Falconridge in northeast Calgary has been released by police on Saturday.

It happened at around 2 a.m., when officers say complaints arose of shots being fired at the home on the 100 block of Falchurch Crescent.

When officers arrived, they contained the home and began negotiating with the suspect, who was inside. Then, at around 5:40 a.m., police say they surrendered to police.

Later, investigators determined no shots were fired, and no criminal offence was committed, releasing the individual.

No injuries were reported, and no further information is expected.
