Alberta man indicted in U.S. child exploitation case

A man from Alberta is facing serious charges in a child exploitation case south of the border.

U.S. federal prosecutors in Pittsburgh say 55‑year‑old Cyril Borle has been indicted by a grand jury on six counts related to the sexual exploitation of a minor

The case stems from incidents alleged to have occurred in early 2020.

According to the indictment, Borle is accused of persuading a minor on three separate occasions to engage in sexually explicit acts so that they could be recorded. He is also charged with receiving images involving the sexual exploitation of a minor on those same dates.

Borle faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison and fines of up to $1.5 million if convicted.
