Emergency crews were called to 32 Street and 20 Avenue NE around 3:45 p.m. for reports that two people were struck by a vehicle.
Calgary police say a 2020 Honda Pilot that was being driven by a man in his 50s turned southbound onto 32 Street from westbound 20 Avenue NE. The vehicle struck a man in his 50s and a man in his 20s who were walking in a crosswalk across 32 Street.
Both pedestrians were thrown several meters. They were both rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, where they remain.
Police say the driver remained at the scene.
