Downtown stabbing leaves one person with serious injuries

A stabbing in downtown Calgary on Wednesday afternoon sent a man to hospital with serious injuries.

Emergency crews were called to the area of 4 Street and 7 Avenue SE around 3 p.m.for reports of an assault.

Police arrived to find a man suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and remains there in stable condition.

One man has been taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
