Shooting in NW Calgary leaves man hurt; police seek video footage

A man was taken to hospital after he was shot while getting out of a vehicle in northwest Calgary over the weekend.

Police say the shooting happened around 12:20 a.m. Saturday outside a home on Tuscany Springs Heights NW in the community of Tuscany.

The victim was exiting a vehicle with another man when someone opened fire, hitting him. The man was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Investigators believe the suspect drove away in a dark‑coloured SUV. No arrests have been made.

Police believe the incident was a targeted attack.

Officers are asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to contact police at 403‑266‑1234, or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
