A high school in the city’s northeast was put into lockdown Thursday after reports of a student being assaulted with a weapon.

Police were called out just after the noon hour to Lester B. Pearson High School in the northeast Pineridge area after reports that one student assaulted another with a weapon.

The victim reportedly has minor injuries that did not require a trip to the hospital.

The suspect was quickly located and is now in custody.

The lockdown ended about an hour after police were called.
