A driver is facing multiple penalties after being pulled over at nearly double the speed limit on a Calgary highway.
Calgary police say they caught the driver on Sunday travelling 191 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on southbound Stoney Trail near Glenmore Trail SE.
The man was watching a video on his phone while driving, according to police.
He also failed a mandatory roadside alcohol test.
The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
He also received a $300 fine for having a visible video display while driving. He is expected to face additional fines after police issued a court summons.
