Calgary police have charged two people after a drug trafficking investigation that uncovered a gun, cash and drugs.
Police say they began investigating in June after receiving information that a man was selling drugs and had a gun.
Officers later obtained a search warrant for a home in the community of Mayland Heights, where they seized a loaded stolen 9‑mm handgun, ammunition, nearly $8,000 in cash, and cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Investigators also believe a suspect threw away a gun while being arrested.

Michael Allen Storey, 45, is facing several charges, including possessing firearms and ammunition while prohibited, drug trafficking, possessing crime proceeds over $5,000, resisting arrest and other weapons offences. He is scheduled to appear in court in August.
Ashley Lynn Wren, 26, is charged with possessing ammunition while prohibited and failing to comply with a release order. She is expected in court on Thursday.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 403‑266‑1234 or reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
