Driver seriously hurt after Calgary transit bus, pickup truck collide

The driver of a truck taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a Calgary Transit bus Friday morning in the city's NW.

A driver was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash between a Calgary Transit bus and a pickup truck on Friday morning.

Emergency crews were called to Bowness Road and 70 Street NW around 9:15 a.m. for reports of a collision.

Police say the crash involved a transit bus and another vehicle. Images from the scene show a GMC Canyon pickup with a heavily damaged front end.

The driver of the pickup was taken to hospital with serious injuries. No injuries have been reported on the bus.

The investigation is ongoing.
