A woman was rushed to hospital with serious and potentially life‑altering injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Calgary’s Beltline neighbourhood.

Emergency crews were called to the area of 17 Avenue and 9 Street SW around 3:30 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian collision.

Police say a woman was rushed to hospital with serious and potentially life-altering injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

17th Avenue SW is closed in both directions between 9A Street and 7 Street SW.
