Rollover crash on Stoney Trail sends one to hospital with serious injuries

One person was taken to hospital with potentially life-altering injuries following a single-vehicle rollover on Stoney Trail and Crowchild Trail Northwest. 

A rollover crash on Stoney Trail late Wednesday afternoon left one person seriously hurt and shut down several major ramps in northwest Calgary.

Emergency crews were called around 3:45 p.m. to the southbound lanes of Stoney near Crowchild Trail NW.

Police say a single vehicle rolled, injuring one person. They were rushed to hospital with potentially life-altering injuries.

Police have closed three off‑ramps while they investigate and crews work at the scene. There is currently no access from eastbound Crowchild to Stoney, westbound Crowchild to Stoney, and southbound Stoney to Scenic Acres Boulevard NW.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
