Man charged after allegedly stealing $20K worth of 3D printers in home break-in

A Calgary man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a home and stealing dozens of 3D printers and printing accessories.
Calgary police say someone broke into a home on Vegas Way NW in the community of Varsity between June 13 and June 15.
It is alleged the suspect stole 20 3D printers and accessories worth more than $20,000. The victim called police after spotting many of the stolen printers being advertised online days later.
Investigators traced the listings and on Aug. 18, executed a search warrant at a home on Dalton Drive NW in the community of Dalhousie. Officers recovered 17 of the stolen printers and six spools of filament.
Police say Brent Kuzma, 31, of Calgary, is now charged with trafficking stolen goods over $5,000, with possession of stolen property over $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with release orders. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
