Calgary will host the first X Games ever held in Canada, with WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park set to welcome the world’s top skiers and snowboarders early next year.
The three‑day event will run from Feb. 19 to 21, 2027, bringing Big Air, Slopestyle, Superpipe and Knuckle Huck to the same slopes that made Olympic history in 1988.
The event will also include two nights of major concerts.
Tourism Calgary president and CEO Alisha Reynolds, says the city has long dreamed of hosting the X Games.
“Here we are as the one Canadian city that will launch X Games Calgary in the heart of winter, and there is truly no better city than Calgary to host this electrifying event,” said Reynolds.
The competition is part of the inaugural X Games League Winter Season, where athletes earn points for their clubs. The SnowRodeo FIS World Cup will run just ahead of the weekend, adding even more free-ski and snowboard action to WinSport.
Organizers say the event will deliver an estimated $25 million boost to Calgary’s visitor economy and strengthen Canada’s role in global action sports. Canadian athletes already have a strong X Games record, with 366 medals, the second‑most worldwide.
X Games CEO Jeremy Bloom says tickets are now on sale at xgames.com, noting the $99 weekend pass is a limited‑time price expected to move quickly.
