Cyclist seriously hurt after crash in SE Calgary

A cyclist is now in stable condition after a driver struck them Friday afternoon in southeast Calgary.

A cyclist has serious injuries after they were struck by a vehicle in southeast Calgary on Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of 14 Avenue and 42 Street SE around 12:45 p.m. for reports of a crash.

A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, according to EMS. Images from the scene show a heavily damaged bicycle at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene, according to police.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
