Woman’s body found on NE C-Train

At least seven police vehicles lined 36th Street Northeast at the Whitethorn LRT station just before noon Sunday after the body of a woman was found on one of the trains.
The station was temporarily suspended as officers investigated and questioned transit riders.
At this point police are treating the incident as a sudden death and say it is not considered suspicious. They are awaiting autopsy to determine what caused the tragedy.
Police said they were looking to talk to two men who may have been with the woman on the train and have taken one of those men in for witness questioning.
A man was handcuffed on scene and ushered into the back of a police vehicle but at this point police cannot confirm this was one of the men believed to be with the woman.
