Into Thin Air: Death on Everest screening in Calgary

If you’ve ever been curious about the dangers of high-altitude, you can take in a free viewing of “Into Thin Air” Thursday night.
The film is based on the best selling book that re-creates the infamous 1996 expedition to Mount Everest that claimed five lives.
Following the movie, there will be a discussion on the latest research in high altitude exposure and the effects of low oxygen on the brain.
The screening goes 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre, 1133 Kensington Road N.W.
