A grade three class has put their entrepreneurial skills to test and the Calgary Zoo will benefit from their efforts.
Laurie Skene with the zoo tells 660News the kids are from a grade three class at St. James Elementary-Junior-High and their project was called “Money Monkey.”
“The kids managed through their fundraising efforts to raise more than $600 dollars and they’re coming down today (Thursday) to make a cheque presentation to our development department. They’ve chosen to devote their money to our Zoo Care Program”, says Skene.
The money raised will go towards feeding and take care of the animals at the zoo.
She says, if others are interested in doing their own fundraiser they should visit their website. For more info click here. www.calgaryzoo.ca
