Calgary Transit is making some changes to try and improve the reliability of their bus service.
Manager of Operational Planning, Neil McKendrick, tells 660News the move, which kicks in September 1st, is a result of feedback with riders.
“Either our staff or our customers have alerted us to the fact that this bus is always late, this bus is always early so we’ve made changes to the schedules on quite a number of routes to try to address those concerns,” explains McKendrick.
“Buses will match the conditions that its operating in, either it be in traffic, construction or passenger volumes.”
McKendrick adds they’re also restoring the schedule cuts they make every summer from June to August when ridership drops off in order to save money.
