The average tip for most European countries is between five and 10 per cent.
The standard tip in China comes in at only three per cent.
Australians tip eight per cent while, Americans tip about 18 per cent and Canadians on average tip 16 per cent.
Canada is ranked third in the world for good service.
The index finds you’ll get the best service in the world in Japan, a country where the average tip is nothing but a “thank you”.
