Remains of missing Ontario girl potentially found

The mother of missing Ontario teen Mariam Makhniashvilli has been contacted by police with the discovery this week of human remains in a ravine on a Toronto golf course.

Police aren’t speculating at the age or gender of the remains, they say a forensic examination of the skeletal remains will be necessary for that determination.

Police say the remains were likely at the golf course for two-to-three years.

Mariam was 17 when she disappeared after walking to Forest Hill Collegiate September 14th, 2009.
