Fire crews continue to battle an early-morning business fire in the northeast.
Crews got a call just before 3:00 a.m. Monday reporting a blaze at 5075 Falconridge Boulevard.
Fire crews fought the fire defensively to ensure the blaze didn’t spread to neighbouring buildings.
The fire destroyed a number of businesses in the strip mall, including a video store, a jewelry store, a meat shop and a restaurant.
Some residents in the area tell 660News they’re worried the fire was set intentionally as a hate crime.
It’s the second fire in a week that has destroyed businesses owned by the East-Indian and Pakistani community in the northeast.
