Police are dealing with yet another carjacking case in Calgary; the fourth in less than a week.
But this one was a little bizarre.
It’s bad enough if you’re involved in a crash, but when the people in the other vehicle attack you and take your truck?
That’s what police say a man reported happening to him in northeast Calgary Saturday night.
Detective Hayley Marquis tells 660 NEWS the investigation of the case was somewhat hampered.
“We had units into the area to circulate, however there was a significant time delay because he had reported after he got home. He had got a ride back to his residence before he reported it to us.”
When emergency crews arrived at his home in Coral Springs, they found the victim had suffered only minor injuries in the crash.
Police on the lookout for the suspect who is described as a white man, stocky build with a European accent.
This is the fourth carjacking incident Calgary police have dealt with since Tuesday, when a woman in Skyview Ranch was forced from her car at gunpoint.
A man in Beddington fought off two carjackers later that day and then a woman had her van stolen from her at gunpoint in the Market Mall parking lot on Friday night.
