MRU students launch Tim Horton’s petition

A group of students at Mount Royal University have launched a campaign, urging Tim Horton’s to switch to compostable coffee cups.
So far, their petition has about 50,000 signatures.
Spokesperson Austin Lang says approximately 1.6 billion cups go to landfills across Canada every year, and it will take hundreds of years for the cups to break down.
